Redesigned Center Console
All 2026 Subaru Forester SUVs receive a new center console layout that includes a vertical slot for your smartphone or wallet, a compact shifter design located closer to the driver, and larger cupholders that support up to 32-ounce water bottles. In addition, the forward storage area is now deeper to prevent items from sliding around, the center armrest is larger, and drivers will find more storage in the center console for keeping personal items tucked away.
Enhanced Wilderness Model
2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness SUVs are redesigned to match the sixth-generation Subaru Forester lineup. New 2026 Forester Wilderness models feature a revised 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine with improved torque delivery and a shorter final drive ratio to enhance low-speed capability during your adventures near Oil City. As a result, the 2026 Subaru Forester Wilderness can tow up to 3,500 pounds, while the 2025 Subaru Forester Wilderness could only tow up to 3,000 pounds.
New Subaru Forester Wilderness SUVs also provide wider all-terrain tires, faster center differential lockup speeds, and 10 percent stiffer torsional rigidity compared to the previous model year. Plus, the 2026 Subaru Forester features longer coil springs and shock absorbers, highlighting 9.3 inches of ground clearance with a 23.5-degree approach angle and a 25.5-degree departure angle. 2025 Subaru Forester SUVs only have 9.2 inches of ground clearance with a 19.0-degree approach angle and a 24.6-degree departure angle.
