The 2024 Outback offers two flat-four-cylinder engines: a standard 182-horsepower 2.5-liter engine and an available 260-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. With a continuously variable transmission, these engines provide responsive acceleration while the standard all-wheel-drive system sticks to the road. The ride quality is smooth and comfortable over various terrains with 8.7 inches of ground clearance, increased to 9.5 inches for the rugged Wilderness trim.

The 2024 Subaru Outback price ranges from an MSRP starting price of $28,895 for the base model up to $42,795 for the top Touring XT trim.
The Outback produces 182 horsepower from its standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, or 260 horsepower from its available turbocharged engine.
