The Subaru Solterra is exclusively powered by electricity. It also comes with an all-wheel-drive system with two electric motors generating a combined 215 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. The power can be deployed differently, depending on the drive mode.
The Subaru Solterra features four drive modes; eco, normal, power, and the X-mode. The vehicle also has 8.3 inches of ground clearance, grip control, and an adjustable regenerative-braking force in the paddles on the steering wheel.
While there are still questions about the size of the car's battery pack and its capacity, the vehicle is set to exceed a driving range of 220 miles on a single charge. It is compatible with the DC fast-charger, which can achieve a full charge in a matter of an hour.
